Dallas Police Task Force Rescues High-Risk Victim

Dallas Police

The Dallas Police Department’s Prostitution Task Force, operated out of the Northwest Patrol Division, rescued a 17-year-old girl who was being forced into prostitution.

Officers in the 11100 block of Harry Hines Boulevard conducted a traffic stop on August 20, 2025, and located a driver and sole female passenger. The female victim made comments indicating she had been involved in prostitution and was interviewed by detectives from the High Risk Victims Squad. Their investigation determined that Deon Harris, 32, had made the victim engage in prostitution activity. Harris was arrested and charged with Compelling Prostitution of a Minor under 18, a first-degree felony.

Deputy Chief Stephen Williams, commander of the West Patrol Group, said, “I commend these officers and detectives for their swift response and compassion shown to this victim. Their diligent efforts led to the rescue of a vulnerable person and the arrest of the suspect. This case is one of many that highlights our continued commitment to pursuing justice and protecting victims of exploitation.”
