Dallas Police
On February 20, 2026, at about 10:05 a.m., the Dallas Police Department SWAT team executed a search warrant in the 1000 block Shaw Street.
As officers approached the front door of the house, the suspect opened the door armed with a gun.
One SWAT officer discharged his duty weapon striking the suspect. Officers then began to immediately render aid. The suspect died at scene. No officers were injured.
The Dallas County District Attorney’s office was notified and responded to the scene and will conduct their own investigation.
The Office of Community Police Oversight was notified and responded to the scene.
