Dallas Police Nab Suspect in Back-to-Back Shootings

Dallas Police

40 p.m., Central Patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of N. Peak Street, where a man fired a gun at a car occupied by a woman and her 5-year-old child. There were no injuries at that time, but about two hours later, in the 4600 block of Sycamore Street, officers responded to another call where a man was seen firing a gun while arguing with people.

Assaults detectives and patrol officers interviewed witnesses and watched surveillance footage, ultimately discovering the same man was responsible for both offenses.

“It’s not about one team or unit working alone; it’s about working together and sharing information.” said Assistant Chief Mark Villarreal. “It’s through this teamwork that we solve crimes faster and keep everyone safer.”

The suspect, 35-year-old Soriya Oeur, was located, arrested, and taken to Lew Sterrett Jail. His charges include two counts of Aggravated Assault-Deadly Weapon, a second-degree felony, and two counts of Deadly Conduct- Discharge of a Firearm, a third-degree felony.

This investigation is documented under case number 089958-2025.
