The Dallas Police Department announced the results of Operation Justice Trail, Chief Daniel Comeaux’s initiative to capture wanted violent felons. Between May 1 to May 31, 2025, the Dallas Police Department arrested 98 wanted fugitives, whose arrest histories total more than 700 arrests. The Dallas Police Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force cleared 167 warrants, arresting fugitives in Dallas and around the United States.
Part of the Department’s Violent Crime Reduction Plan acknowledges that a small number of offenders are responsible for a majority of offenses. By arresting these wanted fugitives, many of whom have extensive criminal histories, the Department is keeping our streets safe. The partnership between the Dallas Police Department, the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, and the U.S. Marshals made this operation possible.
