Dallas Police Employees Terminated 14 January

The following employees were terminated during disciplinary hearings on January 13, 2026, with Chief Comeaux:

Police Officer Cesar Rangel, #12461, Northeast Division, was terminated for engaging in adverse conduct when he was arrested for indecent assault, a Class A Misdemeanor, and using city equipment for purposes other than Departmental business. Officer Rangel had been employed with the Department since September 2022.

Sergeant John Fiore, #9124, Central Division, was terminated following a psychological and psychiatric evaluation being unfit to perform the essential job functions as a member of the Dallas Police Department. Sergeant Fiore had been employed with the Department since May 2007.
