Operation Justice Trail, led by Dallas Police Chief Daniel C. Comeaux, officially concluded on August 31. The initiative’s August efforts resulted in the arrest of 56 violent felons, who collectively had 289 prior arrests. Since the operation launched on May 1, 2025, a total of 349 violent offenders have been taken into custody, with a combined criminal history exceeding 1,928 prior arrests.
The success of Operation Justice Trail was made possible through strategic partnerships with the U.S. Marshal’s North Texas Fugitive Task Force and North Texas Crime Stoppers.
“The success of this operation is credited to the relentless efforts of the Dallas Police Department, the U.S. Marshal’s North Texas Fugitive Task Force, and North Texas Crime Stoppers,” said Chief Comeaux. “As the most proactive police department in the country, this operation reflects the discipline of our teams, the strength of our intelligence, and the value of every person who supported the mission-from the officers to the tipsters.”
Throughout the four-month operation, Crime Stoppers offered a guaranteed $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a violent felon. Six individuals were rewarded for their contributions.
Operation Justice Trail stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved through unwavering dedication, interagency coordination, and strong community partnership.
