Child’s Death Probed at 500 W Medical Center Blvd

Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a child at 500 West Medical Center Boulevard about 5 p.m. on Wednesday (January 21).

The identity and cause of death of the female child, 5, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Michon and I. Barrett reported:

Officers responded to a child’s death call at the above address. The mother of the child stated the child was complaining of leg pain earlier in the day and progressed by the afternoon.

The child was transported to an area hospital by private vehicle where doctors pronounced her deceased.

The investigation is pending autopsy results.
