Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a child at 12660 Ashford Point Drive about 7:50 a.m. on Saturday (November 1).
The identity and cause of death of the female child, 2, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective M. Castillo reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a meet firefighter call at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive child. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the child to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is pending autopsy results.
