On September 24, 2025, the A.C.T. Team (Apartment Community Team) hosted a community event in the Oak Cliff area that brought together more than 250 attendees. A variety of organizations and vendors came out to make the day extra special. Chick-fil-A and Bear Creek Family Dental treated guests to free sandwiches and pizza, while the Dallas Police Wellness Unit and the National Latino Law Enforcement Organization (N.L.L.E.O.) kept everyone refreshed with cold bottles of water.
“Events like this bring our communities together,” said Assistant Chief Catrina M. Shead. “Now more than ever, it’s important that the Dallas Police Department helps create spaces where we can share joy and unity.”
Generous donations from J.C. Phelps Recreation Center and Sam’s Club included gift cards and scooters, adding even more excitement to the event. The Dallas Zoo delighted families by giving away six-packs of tickets, and the City of Dallas’ Sanitation Department wowed the crowd by bringing their impressive heavy-duty trucks for everyone to explore.
