The 2026 North Texas Public Safety Rising Stars Awards committee nominated and recognized public safety officers from across the region for their leadership, dedication, courage, innovation, and commitment to serving their communities.
This year’s honorees represented agencies including the Dallas Police Department, Dallas Fire-Rescue, Dallas ISD Police Department, DART Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, federal law enforcement agencies, and police departments throughout North Texas. Their accomplishments include life-saving actions, complex investigations, community engagement, officer training and mentorship, teaching and technical training, and innovative approaches to public safety.
The awards program featured remarks from KC Chami, AZURE Construction, Salim Asrawi, President and co-founder of Texas de Brazil, and Chief Daniel Comeaux, Dallas Police Department. The keynote address was given by the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould and Shannon Miller with NBC Channel 5 presented the awards and delivered opening and closing remarks.
