The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in Northwest.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, at approximately 12:52 a.m., Third District officers responded to the 2900 block of 14th Street, Northwest, for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a puncture wound. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life and pronounced the victim dead
The victim has been identified as 56-year-old Charles Sharp, of Northwest, DC.
Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police
